quickie

hey guys! just a quick note in response to shanshan's proposal. taking a very short break. in the midst of marking english compre and i need a breather before i jump into summary.

anyway it sounds like a good plan. let's start with birthday order first, then after all 5 of us have gone for one round, we can change to another category, eg. alphabetical order. so wenhui will be our very first outing organiser. how about calling it chief outing organiser? COO. lol. chief event organser (CEO) also can but then i think COO sounds more unique.

all in favour, say aye! in the tagboard.

convocation is next week already! xintian's first right? anyway, have you all got things to wear underneath the gown? i need to buy a skirt. anybody wanna go shopping? i've got holiday on monday because it's youth day! =) besides the skirt i also wanna get a pair of strapped flats coz i dun really like wearing covered shoes to school every day. my toes can't breathe. haha. oh and my school has dress-down fridays. so cool right. can wear jeans and sneakers. awesome.

as for blogging about my work experience and stuff, i think it's not really a good idea to publish on the internet coz i don't want my students to read it if they chance upon my blog or this blog. heh.

Shanshan!!

That's a great idea! the Jie-mei Ambassador idea will make organising outings so much more efficient..

I'm definitely for it =)

Hehe can arrange in any idea, birthdays, name, height, weight (which will vary n become quite confusing haha) or whatever we agree on.

But we should decide soon for the July outing (minus ur bday and commencement) lol..

but i wonder who still reads this blog.. =p

HELLO!

now that everyone had graduated
and are starting to get busy with their own things
i declare some new jiemei POLICIES!

i bet you girls are too busy to even read/write in this blog!
=P

okay.
i think i discussed this with you all before.
we should try to meet at least once a month
but of course
we dun have to STRICTLY
meet once a month ya..
but i was thinking
july is coming
and we ought to have a july outing!
(attending grad ceremonies are not counted)
(my bday will not be counted too)

pure jiemei outings are so precious ya
and just to remind you all hor
we knew each other 4 years liao
but we only had TWO outings.
what's the frequency huh huh huh?
heheh.
so we better put in lotsa effort
to make it a point to meet up at least once a month ok!
then we can bitch about ur colleagues
or bitch abt life as an adult now
or shop or eat or binge or ktv or just walk and chat!

hockays! propose the next outing!
we every month delegate someone to be in charge
of the outing ok? so like we'll do it in a alternative manner
so lets say we line everyone up in alphabetical order:

option 1 - example:
alphabetical order

cheryl
huiching
shanshan
wenhui
xintian

so july will be organized by cheryl,
aug by huiching, and subsequently
then after xintian, we'll go back up to cheryl.

if not,

we can also go by option 2
birthdates order

option 2 - example
birthdate

wenhui
shanshan
huiching
xintian
cheryl

if not
there's also option 3

option 3 - example
height order

wenhui
cheryl
(who comes first?)
xintian
huiching
shanshan

anyway
i think you all get my point after so many examples.
hahahahs.
just trying to make it fair for everyone
dun want like after like one year
then everyone so jaded from meeting up
no fresh ideas
and everytime the same old person think
of the same things

let's call the person who organizes for the month
the jiemei ambassador.
=P

so the J.A. can either throw ideas
give everyone options when and where to meet,
come up with themes for the meetup
and everyone must lan lan cannot complain

or

the J.A. can secretly plan the outing for the day
and everyone just turn up
like a surprise outing!

wooo!
so exciting!
hahahs!

onx boh!!!
reply reply reply ya!

Sunday, June 8, 2008

hello!

sorry i havent been updating the blog for a long time, but i am a frequent blog surfer of it though. kinda lazy these days, just feel like lazing around in the apartment, reading my book, blog surfing or juz sitting in the park reading my book and eating my packed lunch. bleah.

so now i am back in perth, after a good trip to melbourne and sydney with my grad trip friends. and damn happy with my results, just like all of you are as well. cap increased by alot instead of dropping as i feared. and fyp got A. kudos to hc who also did so well, that she pulled her cap up.

i got to defend myself against what hc said man. yes, i was speeding, but i did not go up to 140 km/h la. at most 130 km/h. haha. and was going quite fast around the bends as well, until i can kinda feel the drift at times. if that feeling is what they called the drift in initial D. had to rush to catch the apostles before nightfall mahz.

it was quite an experience driving on great ocean road, i must say. the long winding roads, but the view was amazing! glad we could drive on great ocean road. i am sure huiching will agree. not forgetting the drive to philips island to catch the penguins! though we had to drive back in the dark, but think it was worth it. luckily no kangaroos jumped out on the way. bleah.

to shan shan: hoped u loved our postcard! and i am beginning to love perth. falling in love with the river and beaches first. hee. the beaches are so beautiful that sydney and melbourne beaches cant fight with it, if you exclude great ocean road.

to wen and xintian: lets webcam when we have the chance! haha. coz it will be quite dumb to do that if we are back in singapore. lol.

to hui ching: i am trying hard to keep up with your blogging speed man. haha

guess we will all be back soon! so lets meet up if we can. since poor me starts work on the 16th. sigh.

back from australia!

hey guys! i just came back from australia last night. haha but won't be in sg for long though. flying off to paris tonight with my parents! heh. wow i havent had internet for such a long time. didn't get to update or read the blog.

i blogged about my aussie trip already. it was quite fun to meet cheryl along the way also. at phillip island and great ocean road. im quite proud of myself for driving in australia. me and my friend took turns to drive. winding down the window and feeling the breeze in my hair, looking out at the beautiful scenery, the mountains, the ocean, the trees in the forest. it was really awesome. for someone without much driving experience, i think i did pretty well. hahaha. on the highway, i hit about 120km/h. but it was a bit scary driving between 2 long vehicles. the long vehicles and trucks there drive damn fast. they drive on the fastest lane. have to give way to them some more. but sian la, kena horned at in the city. haha. bleah at least nothing happened! oh and cheryl drives damn fast la. didnt see their car the whole way on one stretch of the journey. then when we got off at our next stop, 5 mins later their car pulled up. out of nowhere! i think she hit like 140 or something. haha.

looks like i will be the first to be back in sg on 9 june. haha. shanshan, when im finally really back home in sg, let's meet up! xintian and wenhui, glad u girls are having fun in europe! we should have a photo-sharing session when we come back. like do slideshows and give commentary. hahaha.

alright, loads of stuff to do. literally living out of a suitcase coz i didnt bother to unpack. just threw out dirty clothes and now im gonna dump clean ones in. haha.

au revoir!

hello girls..

wanted to ask you all
what time are ur planning to meet?
will be in a car or anything?

if dun have also ok..
i jsut went to the sinseh.
he encouraged me to walk!
hahah. but not too much lah.

i dun need to be in holland v
cause the thing is,
i have a meeting at chinese garden after that
at around 8pm
so i was wondering what time are u girls
planning to stay until
and where do ur prefer to go?

can we try to avoid crowded places
cos i am a hazard to the public..
=P

so far..
i've tried takign the bus
and its quite haphazard for me
cause the buses usually dun care abt me
and i cant control my footing well
mrt haven try though.
hahahs.
i am so NOT going to bring my crutches out!
haha speaking of viet food, i just ate at pho24 near my house today. the one at upp thomson road. anyway, i agree with wenhui that holland v is prob most convenient location. so we go there and eat the viet food k? then as for the cafe, yeah let's not go to fast food places coz very noisy and don't think can sit there for long and talk also. and the seats are not comfortable. lol. ok i'll list down as many cafe places as i can at holland v:

haagen dazs, swensen's, nydc, essential brew, starbucks, coffee bean, breko's (upstairs seats). hmm. any more to add? im ok with anywhere. haha.
heyo!

for viet food, i'm neutral between all 4 options..

as for cafe, i want aircon place! Singapore is freaking warm I dun think I can take an afternoon out in the park man.. =p and actually fastfood places sound boring, so can we cross that out too?

the rest of you can decide among the rest of the options that Cheryl listed then! esp Shanshan with her poor ankle.. where is the most convenient for u gal?

=)

2 more days to end of exams for Cheryl n I! yayy~
okay. seems that the highest vote goes to viet food and cafe!

so lets decide which viet food to go to and cafe!

viet food:

i) Miss Saigon @ Liang Seah St
ii) Pho restaurant @ Suntec
iii) Pho 24 @ Millenia walk/Upper Thomson
iv) Viet restaurant @ Holland V

cafe-like place:

i) TCC / Coffee Club
ii) Coffee bean/Starbucks/Gloria Jeans/McCafe
iii) Some cafe that sells dessert e.g. ice-cream like Ben & Jerrys or cakes or juz normal ice-shaved desserts (i have one in bugis) or tau hway
iv) Fastfood places e.g. Mac, KFC, BK, Mos
v) someone's hse! and we get our own dessert frm NTUC/Cold storage e.g chips/ice-cream
vi) go to some park/beach and take a picnic mat. sit on it and talk!

quick decide! its just 2 days away! =)

WHACK YOUR EX!

hello people!
cut and paste this link
play the game
and tell me which method you think is best
to WHACK YOUR EX!

hahahahahs!

http://www.cookinggames247.com/cooking-games/711/Whack-Your-Ex.html#
this blog is suddenly becoming a
LAO REN blog.

ALL THE LAO RENs
are gathering here talking about 80s and 90s stuff!!!

gosh.

ok.
maybe it's time i share with you all my childhood.
hahahhs.

i seldom get to play in playgrounds.
the oldest playground can be found opp ghim's place
(but its recently also demolished)
as well as in woodlands.
it's the dragon head one
all concrete with sand still.

yeah.
i remember the sweets too.
sadly to say
i've never tried sweets (the figure 8)
and i've never eaten the big-round-crispy-colourful cracker
so sad hor.
i was never allowed sweets or chocolates
or playground time.

the only thing i remember from my childhood
was watch teevee.
and because that was my only leisure
so my sis and i used to ACT alot at home
like after watching one episode of a certain show
we will spend the next day acting out the scene.

sometimes we're doctors
sometimes we're air stewardess
it's so stupid loh.

play alot of masak also.
like use tissue paper..
use those masak pots and crockery
and pretend we are opening a fast food restaurant!
so sad hor.
hahah.

i think i also remember last time when i go to school
the buses were damn lok cock
there were no air con buses
and tickets were given out
pink ones for sbs
and yellow ones for trans
and last time the bell goes *DEK*
we carry power rangers bags
and barbie dolls water bottles
we read story books of enid blyton
and nancy drew
we play four stones and hopscotch
our wallets were keroppi or mickey mouse
bus pass back then was a card
with ur photo pasted
and u have to buy stamps
to paste on one month over another month

mondays were gao xiao xing dong.
saturdays morning at 11 was power ranger
got kimberly, trini, zack, jason, tommy, billy
zordon, rita, alpha, lord zedd
hahaahs.

ohwell.
there's too much abt the past.
but i do agree
that time seem to pass much slower in the past.
half an hour seemed to pass very slowly
especially if you are doign homework
with ur special pencil case
that shoots rubber out when u press a button
or a sharpener will shoot out if u press another button.

time passes so soon nowadays when we are older
i dunno why.
an hour passes so fast
and some times i dun even know why time can pass so fast
when i am just sitting in front of the computer..

oh being the kiddish me, i miss the

PLAYGROUNDS!

e old ones that you have sand, that you can play with me, and even when you go up to the slides, the slides are all filled with sand.

not forgetting the merry-go-round that is so sandy and ppl can push you around as fast as they want. running round and round and going under the bars.

and the wooden see saws! not the plastic ones you see nowadays!

and swings! though can still find in some playgrounds, like the one in amk. i am getting scared of swings nowadays though (like my pirate ship experience! eeks)
